  • Purpose Of The Job

    The Inventory Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to maintain inventory accuracy to supply SO fulfillment, validate merchandise and update inventory positions and supervise all inventory related activities, and communicate with other function team supervisors for cooperation.

    Responsibilities/Duties

    • Dispatch SO in reasonable batches.
    • Support picking activities.
    • Scheduling.
    • Validate items.
    • Improve picking quality and productivity.
    • Cooperate with Receiving Department to correct mislabeled products.
    • Search possible missing items.
    • Deduct damaged items from inventory.
    • Report inventory discrepancy (WIA) to Manager OPC.
    • Item location planning or rearrangement for smart space usage
    • Identify unknown items.
    • Coordinate with Receiving Department on Internal Transfer (IT), Warehouse Item Return (WIR) and Warehouse Receiving Dispute (WRD) issue.
    • Hire, train and develop warehouse workers in order to promote customer service excellence and execute company policies and procedures in a professional manner.
    • Conduct performance evaluations of warehouse personnel and make recommendations for hiring, firing, disciplining and training.

    Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes

    • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
    • 3+ or more years of warehouse supervision experience.
    • 3+ years of logistics experience.
    • Familiar with problem solving techniques and capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
    • Must be able to perform basic math; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
    • Full understanding in picking procedure and familiar with practices.
    • Supervision of warehousing personnel.
    • Computer literate.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Ability to solve complex problems.
    • Team player.
    • Good organization skills to handle multi-tasks and cross-departmental issues.
    • Knowledge of safe work habits for warehouse employees to perform duties free from injuries.

    Essential Mental and Physical Functions

    • Walking, stooping, standing, stretching, bending, lifting and sitting for long periods of time.
    • Ability to work under extreme environments such as high heat and cold weather.
    • Requires minimum lifting ability of 40 pounds; may require heavy lifting of 50+ pounds with assistance of team members and/or equipment.

    Work Environment

    • Job will be performed in a warehouse environment that may be noisy, dirty, hot and/or cold
    • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud
