This position is responsible for the organization’s North American compensation and benefits programs.
Oversee the strategy, design, implementation, and management of the compensation programs including base pay, short-term and long-term incentives.
Manage the company’s salary administration program, including the development and maintenance of formal grades, salary ranges, job descriptions and job evaluations.
Create and manage the sales compensation programs.
Act as a consultant to management regarding compensation programs, policies, and procedures.
Take the lead in maintaining compliance with federal and state legislation for all compensation programs and work with legal on complex issues requiring review.
Create, implement, and maintain a process for regular FLSA audits.
Develop and conduct presentations and training programs for new compensation programs, policies, and procedures.
Manage the compilation of compensation data for submission to national and/or regional salary surveys; analyze results to determine company’s competitive position.
Respond to management requests for analysis of employee salary competiveness.
Track annual merit and promotional increases to ensure adherence to budget.
Keep abreast of latest compensation trends and developments through participation in professional associations.
Oversee internal and external audits as it applies to compensation programs.
Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field.
Professional certifications is a plus (CBP, CCP, SPHR, etc)
Minimum 8 years working experience in benefits and compensation.
At least 3+ years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of appropriate statues including FLSA, Equal Pay Act, Title VII, and other applicable laws.
Experience working with SAP or HRIS systems.
Adept at utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Excellent verbal, written, listening and presentation skills.
Able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid change.
Considers a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and making decisions.
Persuasive skills and ability to influence others.
Flexible with strong customer focus.
Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.

Decisions have major implications on the management and operations of an area within a department. Job may contribute to important strategy, operational, and business decisions that affect the department. This position establishes procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Only the final results of work done are typically reviewed.
Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constantly working on a computer. Requires the ability to hear the telephone and the ability to enter data on a computer. May also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.
Work is performed primarily in an office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.
Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English. Additional languages a plus.
