  • Purpose Of The Job

    This position is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization.  This is a critical role in ensuring that the company is attracting and hiring the best possible talent in a timely and cost-effective manner.


    • Manage the entire recruiting process from sourcing strategies to screening candidates, to managing candidate interviews to assessing talent and delivering/closing offers.

    • Will source both active and passive candidates through cold calling, networking, posting on job boards, and other prospecting means.

    • Initiate and maintain relationships and working contracts with outside sources for talent pool (agencies, recruiters, colleges, etc) for temporary, part-time, and full-time employment needs.

    • Work with hiring managers to best define optimal candidate attributes, and then develop sourcing strategies to best attract and hire new employees.

    • Conduct regular update meetings with hiring managers to report progress on existing searches as well as gauge the effectiveness of recruiting plans and execution.

    • Develop a pipeline (pool) of pre-qualified candidates in advance of needs.  Maintain ongoing contact/communications with this pipeline to improve conversion prospects.

    • Implement new ways to improve the company’s online recruiting pages.

    • Forecast, manage and control employment/recruiting expenditures to optimize cost/hire metrics.

    • Ensures compliance and adherence to state, federal and local regulations governing the employment process.

    • Monitor and track employment metrics i.e. open requisition, cost per hire and time to fill.

    • Ensure effective training is in place to help managers interview and assess talent appropriately.

    • Manage the performance and development of recruitment staff.

    • Performs other duties as assigned by management. 

    Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes

    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, business administration or related field; or work experience in lieu of bachelors

    • 10+ years experience in recruitment
    • At least 5+ years of supervisory experience

    • Experience working with applicant tracking system

    • Working expertise in state and federal recruiting and employment laws

    • Adept at utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Job may contribute to important strategy, operational, and business decisions that affect the department. This position establishes procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Only the final results of work done are typically reviewed.

    Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constantly working on a computer. Requires the ability to hear the telephone and the ability to enter data on a computer. May also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.

    Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.

    Equipment Used

    Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.

    Work Environment

    Work is performed primarily in an office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.

    Yes, 3 – 5 direct reports

    Language Skills

    Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English. Additional languages a plus.
