  • Purpose Of The Job

    This position is responsible for managing logistics engineering and project management resources to assess, plan and coordinate company wide logistics related projects.


    • Make assessment on company wide logistics infrastructure and fulfillment capacity. Plan and recommend logistics related capital project in order to provide adequate logistics capacity for company’s short-term and long-term growth.
    • Perform return on investment (ROI) analysis on logistics project and prepare project budget
    • Analyze available technologies and processes which can be used in projects in order to max. the infrastructure efficiency and capacity
    • Responsible for technical management of all the projects including develop the design proposals, define the technical requirements and interpret technical specifications
    • Prepare RFQ on project. Evaluate bid from each vendor and make recommendation from both technical and financial stand point
    • Work as chief engineer and project manager to handle large corporate capital projects
    • Act as main coordinator on both intra-department communication and the communication with higher management
    • Supervise and manage internal engineering and project resources and personnel and oversee their performance
    • Responsible to establish all standards, procedures, and policies for this department
    • In charge of human resource development of the logistics engineering and project management resource including hiring and firing personnel as needed

    Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes

    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • 7+ years logistics related project management experience; 5+ years of setting up logistics infrastructure experience
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
    • Strong MS Office and other job specific software such as AutoCAD and MS project
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
    • Strong leadership skill
    • Strong problem solving skill
    • Proven experience and track record on project management skills
    • Understand logistics and material handling related systems, technology and equipment
    • Have in depth understanding of the logistics, warehousing and order fulfillment process 
    • Familiarity with WMS (warehouse management system)

    Mental Functions:
    Decisions have major implications on the management and operations of an area within a department. Job may contribute to important operational, and business decisions that affect the department. This position may be professional, engineering, revenue generating or entry level management. This position develops procedures for performance of a variety of duties or performs complex duties within established policy guidelines.

    Physical Functions:
    Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.

    Equipment Used

    Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.

    Work Environment

    Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.

    Travel Requirements

    Domestic and International travel may be required up to 10% annually.
