Ensures proper tax compliance for Federal and State income tax. Remittance of all tax returns, payments, and research of tax inquires. The position reports to Tax Manager.
Prepares Federal and State income tax returns, including other supporting schedules.
Prepares quarterly estimated payments and extension request
Assists in quarterly and annual tax provision, Fin48 Calculations and journal entries
Supports for Income, Sales/Use tax audits.
Reconciles all income tax accounts
Prepares written communication Direct Tax issues (i.e., corporate income tax inquiries, refund claims, needed exemption forms, etc.)
Provides customer service to other teams as needed.
Prepares monthly journal entries timely and accurately.
Support Tax Manager in managing projects on all business initiatives, system and process improvements to include research, coordination of system and process integration and implementation.
Perform other ad-hoc tasks and duties as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
2-4 years of experience in corporate tax.
Advanced MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized, extremely detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with changing priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Self-directed and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a team environment
Able to work in a matrixed organizational structure, developing strong relationships with all levels of management
Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
