  • Purpose Of The Job

    To ensure the security of Newegg’s purchases for the public and minimize the financial risk to the company due to fraud.


    •  Identify and Report fraud trends to ensure the latest working parameters are in place.

    •  Assist with research and development of new fraud and risk detection models and increase efficiency.

    •  Review monthly charge back reports and block fraud-related accounts

    •  Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes

    • High School or GED required.
    • Combined 2 years of experience in e-Commerce, experience with Fraud Detection Methods and Analysis, and/or experience using Internet and searches.
    • Strong PC knowledge, including MS office, Word, and Excel.
    • Requires a high degree of professionalism and the ability to handle confidential and insider information with regularity.
    • Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment and to prioritize goals.
    • Highly effective communicator to all levels within the company and with clients; able to clearly articulate the company's value proposition in oral and written communications.
    • Excellent data analysis skills.
    • Must have integrity and consistently exhibit strong work ethics. 

    Essential Mental and Physical Functions

    Mental Functions:
    Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. This position develops procedures for performance of a variety of duties or performs complex duties within established policy guidelines.

    Physical Functions:
    Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.

    Equipment Used

    Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.

    Work Environment

    Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.

    Supervisory Responsibilities


    Language Skills

    Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
