The Lead Fraud Analyst handles higher level or escalated work and provides direction to Fraud Analysts by assigning work queues and ensure the security of Newegg’s purchases for the public and minimize the financial risk to the company due to fraud.
Reviews orders appearing in the queues assigned specifically to the Fraud Prevention Analyst.
Distribute and monitor Fraud Analysts daily workload for efficiency and accuracy.
Partner with the Customer Service Department to resolve fraud related customer issues.
Resolves escalated inbound calls from customers.
Receives inbound and makes outbound calls and sends e-mail correspondence to verify customer purchases.
Carries out fraud counter measures designed and developed by Fraud Prevention operations.
Handles high-risk high dollar orders over $5,000
Identifies and reports new fraud “methods of operation” and trends to ensure mitigation is in place.
Works toward individual and team performance goals as defined by management.
Review monthly charge back reports and block fraud-related accounts.
Identify and report fraud trends as they occur to ensure we have the latest working parameters for our fraud systems.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes
High School Diploma or GED Required
1 year of experience as an e-Commerce fraud prevention analyst
Must have integrity and consistently exhibit strong work ethics.
Strong PC knowledge, including MS office, Word and Excel
Experience using Internet and searches
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Essential Mental and Physical Functions
Mental Functions: Decisions generally affect own job or specific functional area.
Physical Functions: Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.
Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.
Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.
Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
