  • Purpose Of The Job

    To provide day-to-day system support and lead system-related business process/system improvement initiatives within the Newegg Marketplace business unit and applications.

    Responsibilities/Duties

    • Daily business unit operations support for system related issues / troubleshooting.
    • Identify and analyze business problems and defines the scope of activities required to address the issues, including requirement definition, process review, impact assessment and operational streamlining where appropriate.
    • Manages project documentation and processes.
    • Document the analysis/research of project needs and business goals.
    • Gather, update and document user and business requirements in Software Requirements Specifications document.
    • Design and define solutions using clear and well-instructed requirement writings, workflow diagrams and other requirement documentation techniques.
    • Review requirements with business and development team to ensure projects are developed according to business needs and can be fulfilled with current technology and structure.
    • Clearly communicate project vision and requirements to development teams.
    • Perform prototype testing to ensure all requirements have been met.
    • Create manuals/instructions for projects and provide user training sessions.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationship with business partners and internal/external team members.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes

    • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems.
    • 3+ years’ experience of Business Analysis or Product Owner or Product Management experience.
    • Specialization in Business or MIS desired.
    • Experience in Marketplace business model and system platform preferred.
    • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to organizational structure, business strategies and processes.
    • Knowledgeable on business process modeling, process mapping.
    • Capable of writing clear and well-structured business and software requirements documents.
    • Ability to resolve minor conflicts/issues using different tactics prior to escalation.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
    • Knowledge of project management, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong facilitation and presentation and skills preferred.
    • Application User Interface Design experience and skills preferred.
    • HTML.
    • Visio or similar tools.
    • Balsamiq mockup or similar tools.
    • Office application experience such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.

    Essential Mental and Physical Functions

    Decisions have major implications on the management and operations of an area within a department. Job may contribute to important strategy, operational, and business decisions that affect the department. This position establishes procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Only the final results of work done are typically reviewed.

    Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.

    Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.
