  • Purpose Of The Job

    To develop assigned category(s) through the acquisition of new strategic partnerships, expand product selection and availability..

    Responsibilities/Duties

    • Merchandise existing catalog to exceed departmental goals. Work closely with domain leader and other category managers to develop and execute a category development strategy.
    • Identify and acquire new partners through cold calling and networking, leading to successful contract negotiations and onboarding of these partners.
    • Manage new and existing seller accounts to ensure consistent growth in sales and product selection to meet preset goals.
    • Work closely with many internal teams to fully utilize Newegg’s marketing and merchandizing vehicles, web content optimization, integrate new seller accounts and ultimately provide a better shopping experience to our customers.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.

    Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economic or related field or 6 years directly related experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.
    • 6+ years of work experience in Ecommerce Business Development.
    • 2+ years of supervisory experience in setting goals and maximizing profitability.
    • Strong industry knowledge of Marketplace model.
    • Must be able to write, read, analyze and interpret technical/financial product materials.
    • Strong verbal and written presentation skills
    • Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
    • Ability to acquire work/travel documents (i.e., passport and visa) as required by various countries
    • Business acumen, general financial understanding and savvy with statistical analysis.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to build positive working relationships with employees and business partners thru cold calling and networking
    • Exhibits strong decision making abilities

    Essential Mental and Physical Functions

    Mental Functions:
    Decisions have major implications on the management and operations of an area within a department. Job may contribute to important strategy, operational, and business decisions that affect the department. This position establishes procedures for attaining specific goals

    Physical Functions:
    Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.

    Equipment Used

    Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.

    Work Environment

    Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.

    Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.

    Travel Requirements

    Travel to Industry trade shows may be required 2-4 times a year.
