To develop assigned category(s) through the acquisition of new strategic partnerships, expand product selection and availability.

• Merchandise existing catalog to exceed departmental goals. Work closely with domain leader and other category managers to develop and execute a category development strategy.
• Identify and acquire new partners through cold calling and networking, leading to successful contract negotiations and onboarding of these partners.
• Manage new and existing seller accounts to ensure consistent growth in sales and product selection to meet preset goals
• Work closely with many internal teams to fully utilize Newegg’s marketing and merchandizing vehicles, web content optimization, integrate new seller accounts and ultimately provide a better shopping experience to our customers.
• Primarily focus on leveraging international sellers and business partners as part of seller development and category development strategy. Also leveraging business opportunities selling into additional international markets which are made available to Newegg sellers
• Other duties as assigned by management.

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economic or related field or 6 years directly related experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree. 
• 5+ years of work experience in Ecommerce Business Development..
• Strong industry knowledge of Marketplace model.
• Must be able to write, read, analyze and interpret technical/financial product materials.
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills
• Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
• Ability to acquire work/travel documents (i.e., passport and visa) as required by various countries
• Business acumen, general financial understanding and savvy with statistical analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to build positive working relationships with employees and business partners thru cold calling and networking
• Exhibits strong decision making abilities
• Strong communication skills to clearly convey strategy and tactics to the execution part of the organization as well as vendors to sell them on the Newegg story 
• Strong computer skills in a variety of software packages.
