To collaborate with the responsible Category Manager on purchasing and merchandising products for assigned categories
Responsibilities/Duties
Prepare regular purchase orders to replenish inventory following established guidelines and create and/or maintain new product descriptions as appropriate.
Oversee and manage inbound and outbound inventory of assigned categories, including Purchase Order tracking / adjustments, receiving and returning inventory, Return Merchandise Authorization(RMA) with product defects, and inventory write offs.
Develop and execute category traffic strategy (target right customer segment) through all market vehicles. Match category or vendor promotions with best value to maximize promotion ROI.
Work with Category Manager, Domain Marketing Manager and Vendor to develop and execute promotion programs and campaigns to drive sales.
Create EIMS contract, input EIMS rule and deliver promotion plans to execution team
Manage vendor agreements including but not limited to business terms and conditions and collaborate with legal team for final approval
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes
High School or GED required
Bachelors in Business Administration, Marketing in similar field preferred or 4 years equivalent experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
2 years of work experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain or related experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Knowledge of the principles and practices in purchasing
Must be self-directed, faster learner and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a team environment.
Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills required.
Proven analytical and conceptual skills.
Essential Mental and Physical Functions
Mental Functions: Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. This position performs a variety of routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to supervisor's guidelines.
Physical Functions: Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant keyboarding and telephone usage.
Equipment Used
Standard office and computer equipment including MSOffice software, computer and telephone.
Work Environment
Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.
