Purpose Of The Job

Responsible for the capture, enablement, and management of group purchasing and cooperative contracts within the Fed and SLED (State & Local Government, K-12, and Higher Education).


  • Capture and negotiate public contract vehicles.
  • Prepare and deliver proposal responses to customer solicitations.
  • Meet all contractual deliverables and reporting deadlines. Drive growth through identification, pursuit,  and successful capture of strategic opportunities, programs and ensure contract satisfaction by delivering contractual obligations throughout the term of the contract.
  • Lead the customer eProcurement integration process from the testing stage through to live deployment. Seek new EDI punch out connections and other eProcurement related opportunities.
  • Provide account support for all eProcurement customers.
  • Assist in the development of sales strategies for government account and eProcurement accounts. Manage, support, and promote e-procurement programs with the goal of improving sales, usage, and program awareness.
  • Reconcile eProcurement orders and invoices to make sure all deliverables have been fulfilled and that applicable fees are calculated and reported properly.
  • Maintain compliance with the Federal GSA Schedule 70.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and with vendors in adding products to the GSA Schedule.
  • Liaise between systems and web development teams to develop an online ordering process specifically customized for Public Sector customers.
  • Provide sales and business support for the Public Sector sales team.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes

  • Bachelors Degree in Business related field OR 4 years of related experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
  • 3-4 Years of experience with project management, handling government contracts, business development or similar
  • Strong understanding of the government procurement process, both at the Federal and State & Local level.
  • Understanding of the GSA IT Schedule 70 contract and also other various GPO and COOP contracts.
  • Capable of managing the proposal development process from beginning to end.
  • Proposal writing experience
  • Creating and utilizing metrics to make data driven decisions
  • Project managing eProcurement enablements across various platforms
  • Understanding of cXML and EDI integrations
  • Interacting with external customers, vendors, and stakeholders on a daily basis
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to operate under tight schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate across a multi-department team.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and numbers.
  • Ability to train others and make presentations.
  • Can demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

final results of work done are typically reviewed.
Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No
heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.

Equipment Used

Standard office and computer equipment including MSOffice software.

Work Environment

Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment
or health hazards.

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
