  • Purpose Of The Job

    Responsible for the accuracy of the company’s revenue recognition. This position manages two support groups in Accounting Department: Accounts Receivable and EIMS (Vendor Incentives).

    Responsibilities/Duties

    • Prepare, review, and analyze closing schedules for Vendor Incentive Rebates, Revenues, and Receivables.
    • Handle financial/collateral/tax audit issues relating to Vendor Incentives and Receivables.
    • Oversee receivable management and ensure that receivable balance is within an acceptable level.
    • Establish work standards, develop objectives and design/maintain effective workflows and operating procedures.
    • Resolve escalated receivable issues (customers and vendors).
    • Develop receivable and revenue recognition policies and procedures for new business initiatives of the company.
    • All other duties assigned as necessary.

    Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or 8 years directly related experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree
    • CPA preferred.
    • 8 years Accounting/Finance experience to include 3+ years of managerial experience in Accounting/Finance.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent leadership skills.
    • Highly organized, extremely detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Self-directed and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a team environment.
    • Able to work in a matrixed organizational structure, developing strong relationships with all levels of management.
    • Able to securely guard and keep important financial information confidential.

    Essential Mental and Physical Functions

    Mental Functions:
    Decisions have major implications on the management and operations of an area within a department. Job may contribute to important strategy, operational, and business decisions that affect the department. This position establishes procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Only the final results of work done are typically reviewed.

    Physical Functions:
    Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.

    Equipment Used

    Standard office and computer equipment including MSOffice software.

    Work Environment

    Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.

    Yes – 2+ direct reports

    Language Skills

    Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
