Purpose Of The Job

The Photographer is ultimately responsible for capturing digital images for all Newegg.com products to be used for advertising on the website and printed materials.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Photograph a variety of products and merchandise and produce images of new products.
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and templates as per department’s standards.
  • Image Processing with emphasis with color processing and photo manipulation.
  • Maintain commitment and utilize photography skills to create high quality images that will show customers products in best manor possible.

Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes

  • High School or GED required.
  • College degree in Photography, a plus.
  • 1-2 years prior experience with Photoshop and Digital Photography
  • Knowledge of studio lighting and set up
  • Knowledge of SLR camera and software
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of computer parts, a plus.
  • Ability to cooperate and contribute as a team player.
  • Ability to handle a fast paste environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.

Essential Mental and Physical Functions

Mental Functions:
Decisions generally affect own job or specific functional area. This position establishes procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Only the final results of work done are typically reviewed.

Physical Functions:
Must be able to lift 35 lbs. unassisted.
Good manual dexterity for unpacking and packing products.
Must be able to stand and kneeling for extended periods while shooting.
The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
The ability to see details at a distance.
The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Equipment Used

Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.
General photography equipment, (camera, lights, reflectors.)

Work Environment

Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.

Travel Requirements

Travel is not required.
