Purpose Of The Job

To provide administrative support for the growing media development department.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Work with Product Managers, vendors, and industry contacts to source hardware and games for editorial coverage.
  • Process incoming freelancer applications and contracts.
  • Maintain detailed records of expenses tied to various budgets to include but not limited to Newegg freelancers, and Intel Unlocked.
  • Produce PowerPoint reports as directed.
  • Process freelancer invoices to ensure timely payment, work closely with department administrative staff and Finance to track the process of invoices, and answer questions about the status of invoices.
  • Run regular sweepstakes to increase traffic and social media engagement for Newegg editorials and obtain sufficient merchandise inventory from Vendors to support sweepstakes.
  • Track sales and traffic trends for Newegg editorial and produce associated reports.
  • Maintain an inventory of products in-hand, their source, target dates of coverage, and destination/purpose after coverage.
  • Update editorial calendar.
  • Schedule and write social media content for Newegg, Game Crate, Unlocked, the Newegg Blog and Social Media.
  • Monitor registration deadlines for industry events and ensure editors are registered and approved on time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Special Attributes

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4+ plus years of experience in a related field such as Communications.
  • Bachelors in Journalism or Business Administration preferred.
  • Considerable media industry and gaming experience.
  • Full knowledge of analytics programs such as ComScore & Google Analytic

Essential Mental and Physical Functions

Mental Functions:
Strong verbal and writing skills
Strong administrative skills and use of MS Office suite
Ability to work under strict time deadlines

Physical Functions:
Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.

Equipment Used

Standard office and computer equipment including MSOffice software.

Work Environment

Office cubicle environment with minimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
